Gegu Town, belonging to Tianjin Jinnan District, is located in the southeastern tip of Jinnan District, east of the Mafang Reduction River as a boundary with the Binhai New Area New Town, a bridge, the southern end of the town of Xiaoshan Station, East Grand Station, Guanhong Forest Park border, the west side of the leaping into the river, jingu highway, pangu highway as a boundary with the Shuangqiaoxiehe Town, the north to the Haihe River and the Dongli District across the river, the town's administrative region covers an area of 44.1 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Gegu Town has a household population of 55,824. In October 1962, it belonged to the southern suburb and established the Gegu People's Commune.In August 1983, Gegu Township (including the township) was established.In June 1985, the township merged. As of June 2020, Gegu Town has 12 communities and 23 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Binhai Creative Center. In 2016, Gegu Township's gross regional product was 21.123 billion yuan, an increase of 2.28% year-on-year; three-tier financial revenue was 447 million yuan; and the disposable income of rural residents was 28,952 yuan, an increase of 10% year-on-year. As of the end of 2019, Gegu Town has 128 industrial enterprises, including 28 industrial enterprises above scale, and 22 supermarkets or general stores with business area over 50 square meters.
