Qingxu County, belongs to Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. Located in the central part of Shanxi Province, with National Highway 208, National Highway 307, Qingyin Expressway and Tai-Zhongyin Railway running through the county, the county has a total area of 609 square kilometers, with 4 towns, 5 townships, 1 street office, 139 administrative villages and 24 community neighborhood committees under the jurisdiction of the county. According to the 2022 Population Sample Survey, the resident population of Qingxu County at the end of 2022 was 348,589.
Anciently known as Terrier Yang, Qingxu was founded in the Spring and Autumn Period, with a long history and humanities, with a history of more than 2,500 years so far. It is the hometown of Mr. Luo Guanzhong, a master of Chinese classical literature, and Mr. Ma Quan, a great master of contemporary Chinese painting art, as well as one of the national grape-producing areas and the birthplace of Shanxi Old Chen Vinegar. There are two national cultural relics protection units in the county, four at the provincial level and six at the municipal level. Qingxu County has basically formed a new pattern of the county's economy with six major industries, including clean energy, green food, high technology, precision casting, new building materials and ecotourism.
On October 22, 2018, Qingxu County was selected to create the 2018 National Pilot Zone for Integrated Development of Rural One, Two, Three Industries.In March 2019, it was selected to be on the list of the first batch of counties in the area of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area.In May 2020, it was included in the list of counties' new townships and cities' new townships and cities' new townships and cities' new townships.
