Xia Zaolin Township, belonging to Zhongyang County, Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, is located in the northwestern part of Zhongyang County, east of Ningxiang Township, south of Wujiazhuang Township border, west of Liulin County Chenjiawan Township, north of Jinluo Township as a neighbor, from the Zhongyang County, about 12 km, with a total area of 162.6 square kilometers. In 1949, the territory of Lower Zaolin Township belonged to Zhongyang County's three districts; in May 1984, it was changed from Lower Zaolin Commune to Lower Zaolin Township.
