Wan'an Township, belonging to Hongdong County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province, is located in the western part of Hongdong County, neighboring Xincun Township in the east, Longma Township in the south, Zuomu Township in the west and Liujiaguan Township in the north. The town government is about 10 kilometers away from the county town. The maximum distance between the east and west of the jurisdiction is 20 kilometers, the maximum distance between the north and south is 30 kilometers, and the total area of the administrative region is 158.25 square kilometers. In 1949, it belonged to the sixth district of Hongdong County.In 1958, it was Wan'an Commune.In May 1984, Wan'an Commune was changed to Wan'an Town.
