Beixin Township, belonging to Linyi County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, is located in the northwestern part of Linyi County, adjacent to Beijing Township in the east, adjacent to Tengzi Township in the southeast, adjacent to Sunji Township in the southwest, and connected to Wangxian Township in Wanrong County in the north, about 25 kilometers away from Linyi County, with a total area of 72.56 square kilometers. In 1949, the territory of Beixin Township belonged to the third district of Linjin County; in 1984, it was changed from Beixin Commune to Beixin Township. As of the end of 2018, Beixin Township had a household population of 30,294. As of June 2020, Beixin Township has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Beixin Village. In 2018, Beixin Township had 7 industrial enterprises and 42 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
