Yingze District, belonging to Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, is the center of Taiyuan City and political, economic, cultural, transportation, media, communications and financial center, the main seat of the Song, Yuan and Ming Taiyuan ancient city, the name originates from one of the gates of the ancient city after the expansion of the Ming Dynasty, Yingze Gate.
Yingze District is located in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, east of the Fen River, the central part of the city, east and Jinzhong City, Yuji District, Shouyang County, adjacent to the west across the Fen River and Wanbailin District, south of Xiaodian District; north of Xinghualing District, a total area of 117 square kilometers, of which the built-up area of 22 square kilometers, is the smallest area of Taiyuan City, the most densely populated urban areas. According to the seventh census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Yingze District was 594,238 people.
In 2020, the gross regional product of Yingze District was 89.512 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%.In 2021, the gross regional product of Yingze District completed 105.25 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%.
