Linxian, located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, west of the Loess Plateau of western Jin, Lvliang Mountain, belonging to Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, east screen Lvliang Mountain connected to Fangshan, west of the Yellow River and Shaanxi Jiaxian, Wubao County across the river, north of Xingxian, south of the Liashi District, Liulin County. The total area of 2979 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 23 townships 472 administrative villages 32 communities. According to the seventh population census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, Linxian resident population of 394,713 people. Linxian jujube planting area and production ranked first in the country, and in 2012, it was named "China's hometown of jujube" and "China's leading county of jujube industry" by the State Forestry Administration (SFA). In 2012, it was named "China's red date hometown" and "China's leading red date industry county" by the State Forestry Administration, and "China's economic forest industry demonstration county" by the State Forestry Administration. On February 27, 2020, the Shanxi Provincial Government agreed to withdraw Linxian County from the poverty-stricken county. In 2022, Linxian County realized a GDP of 16.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 4.9%.
