ZEZHOU COUNTY, subordinate to Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, was originally a suburb of Jincheng City, changed to its present name in 1996. Located in the southeastern tip of Shanxi Province, Taihang Mountains in the southernmost part, the intersection of Jin and Henan provinces, since ancient times for the three Jin to the Central Plains of the key, known as the "Hedong Ping Han, Ji'nan Xiongzhen". As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Zezhou County was 414,643.
Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, around the urban area of Jincheng City, north and Jincheng City, Gaoping City, east and Jincheng City, Lingchuan County, west and Jincheng City, Yangcheng, Qingshui County, south and Henan Jiyuan, Jiaozuo junction. East and west 62.75 kilometers wide, north and south 58.85 kilometers long, with a total area of 2,023 square kilometers, 725,000 acres of arable land, accounting for about 1.2% of the total area of Shanxi. It has 16 towns and 434 village (neighborhood) committees under its jurisdiction.

Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, has rivers running through its territory, with the main rivers being the Qin River and the Dan River. Zezhou County is one of the earlier areas of human development in China, with a long history.
