Jing'an District belongs to Shanghai, located in the center of Shanghai, with six districts adjacent to the east and Huangpu District, Hongkou District, Baoshan District as neighbors; west Changning District, Putuo District, Baoshan District junction; south of Changle Road, and Xuhui District; north of Baoshan District border.In October 2015, the State Council approved the former Zhabei, Jing'an two districts, "withdrawing the two to build one", the establishment of the new Jing'an District, and the new Jing'an District.
