Feicheng City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province, administered by Tai'an City, is located in the central part of Shandong Province, west of Tai'an City, at the western foot of Mount Tai, bordering Daiyue District of Tai'an City to the east, Dongping County of Tai'an City to the west, Pingyin County of Jinan City to the west, Ningyang County of Tai'an City to the south, Wenshang County of Jining City to the south, and Changqing District of Jinan City to the north with a mountainous boundary, with a total area of 1,277 square kilometers.In 2021, the total number of households registered in Feicheng City was 347,674 households, with a total population of 970,218. The resident population is 885,300, among which, the urban population is 602,800, and the urbanization rate of resident population reaches 68.09%. As of March 2023, Feicheng City has 4 streets, 10 towns and 605 village (neighborhood) committees.
During the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Fei people lived in this area, which was called Feizi State in ancient times, and Feicheng was named after it. At the beginning of the Western Han Dynasty, Feicheng County was set up, with a history of more than 2,200 years. It is the hometown of Zuo Qiu Ming, the "Sage of History", and the place where Fan Li, the "Sage of Commerce", lived in seclusion and did business, and it is known as the "Eupi of the Gentleman". Feicheng City has a variety of landforms. The terrain slopes from northeast to southwest. The highest point is 600 meters above sea level and the lowest point is 57.7 meters above sea level. Feicheng City belongs to the warm continental monsoon climate zone, with four distinct seasons. Feicheng City has historical and cultural relics such as the Dawenkou Cultural Ruins and the Great Wall of Qi, as well as 10 natural scenic spots such as the Jinniu Mountain National Forest Park, the Tao Mountain National Geological Park, Xiaotai Mountain, Wanglu Lake and Yunmeng Mountain.
In 2022, Feicheng City will realize a gross regional product of 82.7 billion yuan, fixed asset investment of 20.25 billion yuan, total industrial output value of 69.91 billion yuan; 5.2 billion yuan of public budget revenue and 4.34 billion yuan of tax revenue.
