Shanxian, the ancient name of single father, belonging to Heze City, Shandong Province, is located in southwestern Shandong Province, southeast of Heze City, Suzhou, Henan and Anhui provinces and eight counties at the junction of the county terrain southwest high northeast low, is a warm-temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate, a total area of 1,702 square kilometers as of the end of 2022, Shanxian resident population of 1,005,700 people; as of June 2023, Shanxian jurisdiction over a total of four streets, 16 towns As of June 2023, Shan County has 4 streets, 16 townships, and 2 townships; the county government is stationed at the Huxi Building in Horticultural Street.
Shan County has a rich history and humanity, Ming Hongwu first year (1368), cut single father county and into the single state, Ming Hongwu two years (1369), down to the single county, because of Shun emperor's division of the single volume to live here and named, in 2000, Heze region withdrawn, belongs to the city of Heze. Shanxian County is one of the early birthplaces of Chinese civilization, and there are 13 Yinshang sites in its territory, such as Guyan Mountain. Shanxian is the hometown of Lu Pian, a female politician of the Western Han Dynasty, and Zhou Ziqi, the Acting President of the Republic of China. Shanxian County is an old revolutionary area, which has been the activity center of party, government and military organs in Huxi Prefecture during the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War, and was the residence of the former CPC Huxi Prefecture Committee and Huxi Special Office after liberation. Laozi once lived here in seclusion and enlightenment, Shanxian is known as "the cradle of Tao Te Ching, the birthplace of good culture". Shanxian County is China's commercial grain and cotton, oil base, the hometown of Chinese martial arts, the hometown of Chinese couplets, the hometown of Chinese tomatoes, the hometown of Chinese green goats, the hometown of China's longevity; the second batch of water-saving social construction standard counties (districts).
In 2023, the gross regional product of Shanxian County realized 45.505 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, an increase of 6.3% over the previous year. In terms of sub-industry, the added value of primary industry is 5.979 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year; the added value of secondary industry is 15.832 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9% over the previous year; and the added value of tertiary industry is 23.694 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5% over the previous year. The proportion of the three industries in the regional GDP was 13.1%, 34.8% and 52.1% respectively.
