Yihe Town belongs to Hekou District, Dongying City, Shandong Province, located in the north of Shandong Province, the western part of Hekou District, with the jurisdiction of 46 administrative villages, a town area of 129.74 square kilometers, and a resident population of 22,861 people (2017).
Since ancient times, Yihe realm in the Yellow River alluvial gradually become land, the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China residents moved in one after another. 1931 set up the sixth district of Zhanhua County. 1941~1945 for the Qinghe military base, Xu Shiyou, Yang Guofu and other generals worked here. 1950 for the eight districts of Zhanhua County, Yihe Commune was set up in 1958, and changed to Yihe Town in 1984, and was assigned to the Hekou District of Dongying City.
Yihe Town is located in the Yellow River delta, soil saline, sand, mainly planted wheat, corn, cotton and other crops, forest jujube, animal husbandry for the characteristics of the leading industries. There are oil fields distributed under the territory, which is one of the production areas of Shengli oil field. Local industries include agricultural products processing, machinery manufacturing, petrochemicals, etc. In 2014, Yihe Township realized a gross regional product of 2.83 billion yuan and a public budget income of 32.683 million yuan.
