The Dongying Port Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level economic development zone established in April 2006 with the approval of the provincial government. It serves as the core park of the Dongying Refining and Petrochemical Integration Zone under the “Development Plan for the Northern Shandong High-End Petrochemical Industry Base (2018–2025).”Since its establishment, under the sound leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Development Zone has worked tirelessly to overcome challenges, seized opportunities, and demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, driving all aspects of its work toward a promising trajectory of vigorous development.Currently, guided by its strategic positioning as “the main battlefield for the transformation of old and new growth drivers, the core zone of the Northern Shandong High-End Petrochemical Industry Base, the primary platform for attracting investment and talent, and the demonstration zone for the expansion of the new materials industry,” the Development Zone is focusing on advancing major projects, implementing the “Five Integrations” initiative, and optimizing the business environment. It is vigorously driving the expansion of scale and improvement of quality and efficiency in the high-end petrochemical industry, and is fully committed to building a national green and circular energy petrochemical industry base.
