Dongying, prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province, also known as the Oil City, the City of Oriental Wetland, the Yellow River Water City, is located in the north of Shandong Province, east and north of the Bohai Sea, west and Binzhou City adjacent to the south and Zibo City, Weifang City, south and Zibo City, Weifang City, the terrain along the Yellow River direction tilted from southwest to northeast, belongs to the warm-temperate continental monsoon climate, with a total area of 8,243 square kilometers. In 2022, Dongying's gross domestic product (GDP) was 362.074 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3% over the previous year.
In 2023, the city's GDP will be 389.906 billion yuan, an increase of 7% over the previous year at constant prices. By industry, the added value of the primary industry was 19.524 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year; the added value of the secondary industry was 222.288 billion.
