Daxin Street, belonging to Jimo District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, is located in the western suburb of Jimo District, neighboring Tongji Street in the east and Tsinghongtan Street in Chengyang District in the south, and bordering with Nanquan Town, Pudong Town and Beian Street in the west and north respectively. The total area is 130.99 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Daxin Street had a household population of 67,463.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the territory belonged to Fuhai Township.In 1998, the name was changed to Daxin Town.On June 30, 2020, the town was abolished to establish a street. As of June 2020, Daxin Street has 78 administrative villages and 1 village-level unit under its jurisdiction, and the street office is located at 178 Xinhua Street.
