The park is located on Langya Island in Jiaonan City, in the southern part of Qingdao, approximately 80 kilometers from downtown Qingdao. Administratively, it falls under the jurisdiction of Bolizhen Town and is situated near the boundary between Qingdao and Rizhao. The average natural water depth near the coast is -15 meters, and it reaches -20 meters at a distance of 1,000 meters from shore, making it a natural deep-water port.
Following a sequential "port-logistics-manufacturing" layout, the zone will develop logistics, trade, and port and shipping services for bulk commodities such as ore, coal, and crude oil; foster seawater desalination and marine renewable energy industries; accommodate the relocation of traditional industries; and establish four major circular economy systems to achieve a win-win outcome for both economic benefits and environmental protection.
