Shanghe County, part of Jinan City, Shandong Province, is located in the northwestern part of Shandong Province and is the northern gateway to Jinan City, with Huimin County and Yangxin County in Binzhou City to the east, Linyi County in Dezhou City to the west, Jiyang District to the south, and Leiling City in Dezhou City to the north, with a total area of 1,162.9 square kilometers. As of June 2023, Shanghe County has 1 street and 11 towns under its jurisdiction, and another development zone. As of the end of 2022, Shanghe County had a total household population of 634,627,000. Shanghe County is one of the 100 "Millennium Ancient Counties" in China, and the Shanghe Drum Rice-planting Song and Flower Whip Drum Dance have been selected as the first and second batch of national intangible cultural heritages respectively. There are ancient ruins in Shanghe, Dongxin Ruins and Liangwangzuka Ruins. In 2023, the GDP will be 24.610 billion yuan, up 7.0% year-on-year at comparable prices; of which, the added value of the primary industry will be 5.978 billion yuan, up 5.0% year-on-year; the added value of the secondary industry will be 8.018 billion yuan, up 10.0% year-on-year; and the added value of the tertiary industry will be 10.614 billion yuan, up 6.2% year-on-year.
