Shahe Township is located in Shanghe County, 20 kilometers northeast of the township area of 45.44 square kilometers, 30,000 acres of arable land, jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages. The total population of the township is 19,578, of which 18,808 are agricultural, with a birth rate of 10.3‰ and a natural population growth rate of 4.5‰.
In August 2016, the abolition of shahe township, to its original administrative area set up shahe township, the township government in the former shahe township government site.
