Daping Township (withdrawn), formerly belonging to Tianquan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of Tianquan County, east of Dokong Township, south of Shiyang Township, west of Chenggang Township, north of the boundary of Renyi Township, Xinhua Township, Township People's Government is 12 kilometers from the county town, with a total area of 19.24 square kilometers.
In the seventh year of Qing Yongzheng (1729), the territory of Daping Township belonged to Shiyang Fenzhoufu.In December 2019, Daping Township and Dokong Township were abolished, and the administrative area belonging to Renjia Village of the former Daping Township was assigned to the jurisdiction of Chengwang Township. As of the end of 2018, Daping Township had a household population of 5,281; as of 2019, Daping Township was under the jurisdiction of 6 administrative villages; the township people's government was based in Daping Village.
At the end of 2011, Daping Township had 19 commercial outlets, 21 employees, and total social merchandise sales of 410,000 yuan, an increase of 8.6% over the previous year; in 2018, Daping Township had one industrial enterprise, one enterprise above the scale, and one general store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
In 2019, Daping Township and Duo Gong Township will be abolished, and Renjia Village of the former Daping Township will be assigned to the jurisdiction of Chenggang Township; Daping Village, Maoshan Village, Dawo Village, Xujia Village, Waping Village of the former Daping Township, and Duo Gong Village, Half Gully Village, Luodai Village of the former Duo Gong Township, as well as Yandian Community and Shijia Village of Leying Township will be assigned to the jurisdiction of Shiyang Township.
