Gulin County, belonging to Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, the ancient "Linzhou", "Luhong", is the hometown of Mrs. Xuixiang, is located in the southern edge of the Sichuan Basin, the northern foot of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, is an important channel for horizontal out of Sichuan, the territory is embedded in the north of Guizhou in the shape of a peninsula, the west and the Syuyong border, the north-southeast. In the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (1909), Yongning County was renamed as Gulin, which means "Gulin Prefecture"; in 1935, the Central Red Army crossed the Chishui River in three times, and fought in the territory for 54 days, which was a decisive victory in the Long March; on December 10, 1949, Gulin County was liberated. In 1960, Gulin County was merged into Yibin Prefecture with Luzhou Prefecture; in 1985, the province-administered Luzhou City was established, and Gulin County belonged to Luzhou City. As of December 2021, Gulin County has 17 towns, 3 streets, 3 minority townships, 39 communities and 246 administrative villages. The county people's government is located in Gulin Town. It has Langjiu, 4 national AAAA level scenic spots, 5 national AA level scenic spots; national non-legacy programs such as traditional distilled spirits brewing techniques (Gulin Langjiu Traditional Brewing Techniques), Gulin lanterns, etc. It has been awarded the United Nations "China Region" award. Gulin County has been awarded the United Nations "China District Environmental Planning Excellence Demonstration Award", the top 100 counties in Western China, the National Ecological Civilization Demonstration County, the Sichuan Provincial Civilized City, Sichuan Province, Sichuan Province, such as the strongest county in tourism and other honors.
