Tangchang town, under the PI District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northwestern part of PI District, east and the new field of the town adjacent to the town, south and Anderson town, garden town connected to the west and the town of Dujiangyan Chongyi bordering the town of Pengzhou City, north and the town of Lichun across the Berzhi River. Town people's government stationed 17 kilometers from PI District. The total area of the region is 74.55 square kilometers (the sum of the area of the former Tangchang Town and the former Tangyuan Town). In the second year of Xiaojian of the Southern Song Dynasty (455), Qiaotou County was set up.In November 2004, Xinsheng Township was incorporated into Tangchang Township.On December 23, 2019, Tangyuan Township was abolished, and the administrative area it belonged to was transferred to the jurisdiction of Tangchang Township.
