Chenghua District, belonging to Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northeast of the center of Chengdu City, between longitude 103°53'-104°03' East and latitude 30°33'-30°44' North, with a total area of 109.3 square kilometers. It has a subtropical humid monsoon climate with year-round temperatures and four distinct seasons. As of 2022, Chenghua District has a resident population of 1,402,900, with an urbanization rate of 100%. Under the jurisdiction of 11 streets, the People's Government of the district is located in Chenghua District, Mangchouwan Street, No. 148, East Third Section of the First Ring Road.
Chenghua District is one of the old five districts in Chengdu, the region's earliest for the ancient state of Shu. 1990 September, Chengdu City, the original Dongcheng District's eight streets and the original Jinniu District's four townships to adjust the formation of the new urban areas, because of its territory in the history of the original Chengdu County and Huayang County and the name of the "Chenghua".
