Majing Town is located in Shifang City, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. Located in the southwestern part of Shifang City, the market town is 9 kilometers away from Shifang City, 12 kilometers away from Sanxingdui, and 48 kilometers away from the provincial capital city of Chengdu, close to the branch line of Baocheng Railway, which is a window and one of the big towns in the southwest of Shifang City, the Pearl of Western Sichuan. On December 11, 2019, the People's Government of Sichuan Province on agreeing to the approval of Deyang City to adjust the administrative division of some townships in five counties (cities and districts), including Jingyang District (Sichuan Fu Civil Affairs 〔2019〕 No. 15): the abolition of the Hidden Peak Township, and the transfer of its administrative area under the jurisdiction of the Mawei Township, with the People's Government of the Township of Mawei stationed at No. 142, Zhonghong Street.
