Dazhou City, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, is located in the northeastern part of Sichuan Province, at the southern foot of the Daba Mountains, with geographic coordinates between longitude 106°39′45″~108°32′11″E and latitude 30°19′40″~32°20′15″N. It has a subtropical monsoon climate, with a mild climate and distinctive seasons, and a total area of 16,600 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Dazhou had a resident population of 5.37 million. As of June 2023, Dazhou City has 2 districts, 4 counties, and 1 county-level city under its jurisdiction, and the People's Government of Dazhou City is located at No. 2 Yongxing Road, Tongchuan District.
Dazhou City, known as "Tongzhou" in ancient times, is located in southwestern China, the hills of the eastern Sichuan Basin and the parallel valleys of eastern Sichuan, with nearly 5,000 years of archaeological history and more than 2,300 years of establishment history. In 2023, Dazhou City will realize a gross domestic product (GDP) of 265.67 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 6.5%.
