Lingwu City, county-level city under the jurisdiction of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Yinchuan City. It lies between longitude 106°11'~106°52'E and latitude 37°35'~38°21'N. It is located in the middle of Ningxia Plain and on the east bank of the Yellow River. It is connected to Yanchi County in the east, bordered by Litong District and Hongsibao District of Wuzhong City in the south, separated from Yongning County across the river in the west, and adjoined to Ertuoqian Banner in the north by the Ming Great Wall, with a total area of 4,010 square kilometers.In 2021, Lingwu had a population of 296,000 people. Lingwu, anciently known as Lingzhou. In the Western Han Dynasty, Lingzhou County was established. Qing Tongzhi twelve years (1873), the south of Lingzhou Jinjibao precipitated to set up Ning Ling Hall, will be concentric Fort, Hongsi Fort precipitated to set up Pingyuan County, will spend the horse pool sub-state (now Yanci County) into the Salt Fishing Hall. 1950, Wuzhong precipitated. 2002, Lingwu changed to Yinchuan City, the city of Yinchuan. Lingwu City has a typical mesothermal continental climate, with the terrain sloping from southeast to northwest. The terrain is divided into a plain in the west and a plateau in the east. It has formed a transportation network consisting of three modes of transportation: railroad, road and air.
In 2021, the gross regional product of Lingwu City was 63.904 billion yuan, an increase of 4.8% over the previous year, with an average growth rate of 4.8% over the two years. Among them, the added value of primary industry was 1.591 billion yuan, up 10.0% from the previous year; the added value of secondary industry was 53.668 billion yuan, up 3.8%; and the added value of tertiary industry was 8.645 billion yuan, up 9.0%. The added value of the primary industry accounted for 2.5% of the regional GDP, the added value of the secondary industry accounted for 84.0%, and the added value of the tertiary industry accounted for 13.5%. The per capita GDP was 216,623 yuan, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year.
In 2022, Lingwu City's GDP will realize RMB 77.558 billion, making it the most economically developed county and city in Ningxia; the local general public budget revenue will be RMB 4.561 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30.5%.
