Fengcheng City, county-level city under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province, administered by Dandong City, is located in the eastern part of Liaoning, on the north coast of the Yellow Sea, between 123°32′~124°32′ east longitude and 40°02′~41°06′ north latitude, with a total area of 5,513 square kilometers. Fengcheng City is in the mid-temperate sub-humid zone with a continental monsoon climate. As of October 2022, Fengcheng City has 3 streets, 17 towns and 1 township under its jurisdiction. The municipal people's government is stationed in Phoenix City Street. As of the end of 2022, Phoenix City had a total population of 532,909.
Zhou Dynasty, under the Chosun Hau. on March 8, 1994, approved by the State Council to abolish the Fengcheng Manzu Autonomous County, the establishment of Fengcheng City, by Dandong City, the escrow. The territory of Fengcheng City is crossed by Shendan Railway, Fengshang Railway, Danhuo Highway and Dandong-Fuxin Expressway. Fengcheng City is the second batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization of the area of the county, the 2021-2023 creation cycle of the National Civilized City, the Ministry of Water Resources, the fourth batch of water-saving society construction standard counties (districts) list. The main attractions include Phoenix Mountain Hill City, Western Han Dynasty Ruins of Liu Jiabao, Kuixing Tower, and Confucius Temple Paikou.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Fengcheng City was 19.32 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4% over the previous year at comparable prices.
