Fengxin County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, under the jurisdiction of the county, is located in northwestern Jiangxi Province, east of Anyi County, south of the city of Gao'an, southwest of Yifeng County, northwest of Xiushui County, north of Jing'an County, the Scribbling River flows through the territory of the west and east of the total area of 1,642 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 18 towns and cities (fields, management committees), cultivated land area of 590,800 acres, forested area of 1,636,700 acres, the forest cover rate of 64.46 percent. As of the end of 2022, the total population of Fengxin County was 332,887.
The county was founded in 154 B.C. (the third year of Emperor Jingdi of Han Dynasty), once named Haihun and Xinwu, and in 943 A.D.
