Yushui District, belonging to Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the central west of Jiangxi Province, the east of Xinyu City, the middle and lower reaches of the Yuan River, the eastern boundary of Zhangshu City and Xingan County, the south of Xiajiang County and Ji'an County, the west of Fenyi County, the north of Shanggao County and Ga'an City. It covers an area of 1,775 square kilometers, with 4 streets, 10 towns and 6 townships under its jurisdiction.At the end of 2022, Yushui District had a resident population of 670,800, with an urbanization rate of 78.4%. Yushui District is the CPC Xinyu Municipal Committee, the seat of the municipal government, formerly known as Xinyu County, in Wu Baoding two years (267 years) to establish the county, the middle reaches of the Yuan River used to be called Yushui and the name of Xinyu, the first year of Tang Tianbao (742 years) to change the new Yu for the new Yu Yu, changed its name to Xinyu County in 1956, in 1983 in the original jurisdiction of the Xinyu County within the scope of the establishment of the Yushui District for the Xinyu City, the jurisdiction of the county-level administrative districts. Yushui District has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons, mild climate, abundant sunshine, abundant rainfall, long frost-free period, very short severe winters, fertile land, and nearly 50% forest coverage. In 2022, Yushui District accomplished a gross regional product of 75.45 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 4.5%.
