Tianning District, a municipal district of Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is the main urban area of Changzhou City, located in the south of Jiangsu Province and the northeast of Changzhou City, with an area of 154.84 square kilometers.At the end of 2020, Tianning District governed six streets and one town, with the district people's government stationed in Qinglong Street. By the end of 2022, the resident population of Tianning District was 676,300 people.
It is named after the Tianning Temple in its territory. Before the Republic of China, Tianning District belonged to Biling County, Jinling County and Wujin County. During the Republic of China, it was called Wujin City. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it has been renamed (Jian) East District, Tianning District, Dongfeng District, and in 1980, it was named Tianning District. There are Tianning Zen Temple, Hongmei Park and other attractions.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Tianning District was 93.042 billion yuan, with a growth of 1.4% at comparable prices.
