Linjiang city, county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province, administered by Baishan City, is located in southeastern Jilin Province, with an area of 3008.5 square kilometers. The center is located at about 126°92' east longitude and 41°81' north latitude. Linjiang has a mesothermal continental monsoon climate. As of October 2022, Linjiang City has 6 streets, 6 towns, and 1 township. The county people's government is located in Jianguo Street.At the end of 2021, the total population (household population) of Linjiang City was 148,000 people.
During the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, it was under the Qingzhou and Yingzhou Prefecture. on November 28, 1993, it was approved by the State Council to withdraw the county and set up as Linjiang City, which is administered by the prefecture-level city of Baishan City. Linjiang City is a pilot area for deepening the reform of rural road management and maintenance system", a key county for national leisure agriculture in 2021, and a demonstration county (city or district) for centralized protection and utilization of traditional villages in 2022. The main attractions include the Original Musk Nature Reserve, Wudaogou National Wetland Park, and the Palace of the Forged Manchu Emperor.
In 2021, Linjiang City's GDP grew by 7.6% year-on-year, of which the value added of the primary industry grew by 9.9%; the value added of the secondary industry grew by 8.2%; and the value added of the tertiary industry grew by 6.9%. The ratio of the structure of the three industries is 10.9:29.8:59.3.
