Hulin City, county-level city under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Province, administered by Jixi City, is located in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province at the southern foot of the Wanda Mountains, separated from the Russian Federation by the Ussuri River. Its geographical coordinates are between latitudes 45°23'34"~46°36'33 "N and longitudes 132°11'35"~133°56'32 "E. It has a cold-temperate continental monsoon climate and a total area of 9,334 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Hulin City has 7 towns and 4 townships under its jurisdiction, with the municipal people's government stationed at No. 1 Jiefang Street in Hulin Township. As of the end of 2022, Hulin City had a total population of 265,312.
Hulin City, the ancient land of Sushin, is the Herzhe people living in the world. Qing Guangxu twenty years (1894), set up political, Republic of China thirty-five years (1946) in May, the establishment of the county people's government, in October 1996, the abolition of the county and set up a city. The total mileage of the city's highways is 3,722.97 kilometers, including 2,221.36 kilometers of rural roads. Hulin City is a sparsely populated city with a large land area, and is an emerging port city with a focus on agriculture, green food industry, border trade, tourism, medicine and other industries. The structure of the three industries is 61.8:11.4:26.8. The contribution rate of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries to the GDP growth is 44.1%, 20.7% and 35.2% respectively.
