Daxing'anling (Greater Khingan Mountains) is the western part of the Xing'anling Mountains, located in Heilongjiang Province, northeastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the watershed between the Inner Mongolia Plateau and the Songliao Plain. From the north of the Heilongjiang River, south to the upper valley of the Xilamulun River, northeast-southwest direction, more than 1,200 kilometers long, 200-300 kilometers wide, elevation of 1,100-1,400 meters above sea level, the main peak of the Suoyueerji Mountain. Daxinganling original forest is dense, is one of China's important forestry base. The main trees are Xing'an larch, Zhangzi pine, red spruce, birch, Mongolian oak, mountain poplar and so on. Daxing'anling terrain is high in the west and low in the east, is located in the second terrain of the eastern edge of the second terrace, the second terrace of the third terrace of the combination of the third terrace of the Daxing'anling ridge to the east of the third terrace of the second terrace, to the west of the second terrace of the ground. Daxinganling geomorphology formation has obvious asymmetrical form. The general topography of the region is northeast - southwest direction, is a shallow hilly area. The north, west and center are high. The average elevation is 573 meters; the highest peak, Huanggangliang, is 2,029 meters above sea level (the highest peak is said to be the main peak of Yilhuli Mountain - Huzhong Dabai Mountain, which is 1528.7 meters above sea level); the lowest elevation is 180 meters above sea level, which is the village of Yanjiang, Sanka Township, Huma County. Cold winter and warm summer, the temperature difference between day and night is large, the average annual temperature -2.8 ℃, the lowest temperature -52.3 ℃, the frost-free period of 90-110 days, the average annual precipitation of 746 millimeters, is a cold temperate continental monsoon climate.
