Jiefang District, a district under Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, is located in the northwestern part of Henan Province, at the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains. The coordinates of the geographic center are 113°14′ east longitude and 35°12′ north latitude. East to the Qunying River and Shanyang District adjacent to the west to the upper Baicuo Township Tianjian Village, Chunlin Village and the Zhongzhan District, south to the south of the Fengshou Road and Shanyang District Liwan Street connected to the north of the southern foothills of the Taihang Mountains shallow mountainous areas, respectively, with Xiuwu County, the Zhongzhan District borders. North-south length of 15.05 kilometers, east-west width of 8.08 kilometers, the jurisdiction of the total area of 67 square kilometers, of which the area of the urban area is 20.5 square kilometers.
As of 2017, Jiefang District is governed by nine streets and one health industrial park, with a total of 23 administrative villages and 34 communities. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, Jiefang District had a resident population of 347,382 people. It is predominantly Han Chinese, with 16 ethnic minorities including Hui, Manchu, Mongolian, Zhuang, Korean, and others.
In 2018, the GDP of the district reached 13.57 billion yuan, and the pillar industry is the tertiary industry, accounting for more than 90% of the GDP.
