Weidu District, belonging to Xuchang City, Henan Province, is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains and is the center of Xuchang City. Its geographical coordinates lie between latitude 33°46'~34°24'N and longitude 113°30'~114°19'E. It has a warm-temperate monsoon climate and a total area of 89.37 square kilometers. As of the end of 2021, the resident population of Weidu District was 401,000 people. As of June 2023, Weidu District has 13 streets under its jurisdiction, and the district people's government is located at 666 Tianbao Road.
Weidu District has a long history. The county was founded in the Western Han Dynasty in the sixth year of Gaozu (201 years ago), has Xu County, Xuzhou, Xuchang City, has been the county, state, government and special commission, administrative office, provincial municipalities reside in the county. 1986 February, the abolition of Xuchang area, set up Xuchang City, Xuchang City, the original Xuchang City, Xuchang City, Weidu District was set up. Weidu District is China's important aviation, railroads, highways and other comprehensive transportation hub, Beijing-Guangzhou, Zheng Wan, Zheng He, Sanyang, Zheng Xu Intercity Railway and other five railroad lines through the Weidu District, the territory of the existing Beijing-Hong Kong-Australia, 107, 311 and other 7 highways, into the "m" distribution, is one of the most developed areas of modern logistics in central China. Weidu District has a deep cultural heritage, and the Three Kingdoms culture has become an important cultural symbol, with more than 60 monuments of the Three Kingdoms, such as the Spring and Autumn Building, the Ba Ling Bridge and the Wenfeng Pagoda, which are included in the National Three Kingdoms Cultural Tourism Line.
In 2023, the GDP of Weidu District completed 33.462 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7% year-on-year.
