Changge City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, administered by Xuchang City, is located in the central part of Henan Province and the northern part of Xuchang City, at latitude 34°09′~34°20′ N and longitude 113°34′~114°08′ E. It is bordered by Xinzheng City in the north; Yuzhou City in the west; Yushi County in the northeast; and Yayanling County in the southeast, and covers an area of 650 km2, with a north-south area of 21.4 km, and an east-west area of 51.9 km. As of October 2022, Changge City has 4 streets and 12 towns under its jurisdiction, with the municipal people's government stationed at Gertian Avenue. According to the seventh national census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, Changge City had a resident population of 71,033 people.
In Qin, Changsha was a county. It is the hometown of the Ge Tian Clan, the originator of music and dance, and is recognized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the "Ancient County of the Millennium".
In 2021, Changge City's gross domestic product (GDP) was 82.48 billion yuan, an increase of 5.3%.
