Zhongzhan District, part of Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, is located in the western part of Jiaozuo City, at the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains, bordering Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, in the northwest, Xiuwu, in the northeast, Jiefang District in the east, and Boai County in the west, across the river, with a total area of 162 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Zhongzhan District has 10 streets under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2021, Zhongzhan District had a resident population of 107,365,000.
In the south of Zhongzhan District, there is the Early Shang Ruins of Fucheng, which is listed as a national cultural relics protection unit; in the center, there is the mausoleum of Xu Heng, a politician, educator, and astronomer of the Yuan Dynasty, which is listed as a provincial cultural relics protection unit; and in the north, there is the Peak Forest Gorge Ecotourism Scenic Spot.
In 2021, Zhongzhan District realized a GDP of 13.78 billion yuan, of which: the added value of the primary industry was 0.06 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 10.22 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 3.50 billion yuan. Based on the resident population, the annual per capita GDP was 128,326 yuan.
