Guye District, belonging to Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the eastern part of Tangshan City, is one of the seven urban areas in Tangshan City. Located in the heart of the Bohai Sea, it has a total area of 248 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Guye District has five streets, three townships, and two towns under its jurisdiction. According to the seventh national census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population was 317,932 people.
Guye built the district according to the mine, due to coal and rise, the Shang Dynasty belonged to the Lone Bamboo State, in 1995, the East Mining District was renamed Guye District. Warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate, average annual precipitation of 590 millimeters, the average temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius, the terrain is high in the north and low in the south, tilted from east to west. It is divided into 4 types of landforms, including hills, floodplains, alluvial plains and collapsed lowlands. Jingshan Railway, National Highway 205, Qiancao Railway runs through the whole territory of Guye. It is the pilot area of the national independent industrial and mining area renovation and relocation project, the basic balanced county of national compulsory education development, the civilized urban area of Hebei Province, and the agricultural product quality safety county of Hebei Province.
In 2021, the GDP of Guye District will grow by 9.8%, and the value-added of regulated industry will grow by 8.1%. Total retail sales of consumer goods will grow by 5.8%, and general public budget revenue will grow by 5%.
