Rongcheng County, belonging to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is hosted by Xiongan New Area. It is the resident of the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Xiong'an New Area. As of November 2020, the resident population of Rongcheng County is 273,164 people. Rongcheng County since the Qin County, belonging to the Shanggu County, initially known as "Sangqiu" or "Yijia", the Han Jingdi Zhongyuan three years (147 years ago) set up Rongcheng Houguo, recognized by the provincial government as a "thousand years of ancient counties". Rongcheng has a long history and deep cultural heritage, there are uphill Neolithic "Magnetic Hill Culture" and "Longshan Culture" sites in the territory, which can be deduced that 7,000 years ago, there were human beings thriving in this area, forming a relatively stable ancient villages. Rongcheng has a lot of ruins in its territory, and Liu Yin, a famous scholar in the early Yuan Dynasty, Yang Jisheng, a loyal martyr in the Ming Dynasty, and Sun Qifeng, a great scholar in the early Qing Dynasty, are known as the "Three Wise Men of Rongcheng". It is also the hometown of Hu Delin and Hu Fucai among the Five Heroes of Wolf Tooth Mountain.On April 1, 2017, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the State Council issued a notice deciding to set up Xiong'an New Area in Hebei. In 2022, the county's gross regional product completed 13.006 billion yuan, an increase of 16.7% year-on-year.In December 2020, it was selected as the list of pilot areas of digital villages in Hebei Province.
