Sanhe City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, administered by Langfang City, is located in northeastern Hebei Province and northern Langfang City, in the Yanshan pre-mountain plains region, with a warm-temperate continental climate, adjoining seven districts (counties) and covering a total area of 643 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Sanhe City has 6 streets and 10 towns under its jurisdiction, and another 2 township-level units. As of the end of 2022, Sanhe had a household population of 776,158. Sanhe, according to the Qing Yitongzhi: "It was named after the land's proximity to the waters of Baoqiu (泃泃, boggy, and Baoqiu)." In the second year of the Tang Wude (619), Lu County was analyzed and set up Linwu County. In the first year of Zhenguan (627), it was reincorporated into Lu County. In the fourth year of Kaiyuan (716), Lu County was analyzed and Sanhe County was set up. 1993, Sanhe County was abolished and Sanhe City was set up at the county level, still belonging to Langfang City. It is a national model county (city, district, flag) for the protection of minors, and one of the first national model counties (cities) for the conservation and intensification of natural resources. In 2022, Sanhe City's gross domestic product (GDP) will be 61.04 billion yuan, an increase of 2.2%; the ratio of added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries will be 3.3:27.9:68.8; the revenue from the general public budget will be 5.475 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7%; investment in fixed assets will be down by 15.4% year-on-year; and the per capita disposable income of urban residents will be 55,180 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%.
