Wangdu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Wangdu County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is the seat of Wangdu County People's Government. It is located in the central part of Wangdu County, bordering with Gaoling Township in the east, Gudian Township in the south, Heibao Township in the west, Tizhuang Township in the north and Zhaozhuang Township in the northeast. The jurisdiction has a maximum distance of 7.7 kilometers from east to west and 6.8 kilometers from north to south, with a total area of 39.8 square kilometers and a total household population of 55,970 (2018).
Wangdu Town, formerly known as Chengguan Town, has been the seat of Wangdu County for generations. In 1946, Chengguan Town was established.In January 1962, the Wangdu County system was restored, and it belonged to Chengguan Town People's Commune.In January 1984, Chengguan Town was reconstructed.In 1986, the name was changed to Wangdu Town. As of October 2019, Wangdu Town has 9 communities and 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the town's people's government stationed at 41 Zhonghua West Road.
