Yuqing County, belonging to Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is located in the hinterland of Qianzhong and the southeast corner of Zunyi City, which is the combination of Zunyi, Tongren, Qiannan and Qiandongnan cities and municipalities, bordering Shichian County in the east, Huangping County in the south, Shibing County in the southeast, urnan County in the southwest, Meitan County in the northwest and Fenggang County in the northeast, with a total area of 1,622 square kilometers, and a permanent population of 223,400 people as of the end of 2022. Yuqing County was part of Sheep County in the Spring and Autumn, and was part of Yelang from the Warring States period to the time of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, when Sheep County was established in the first year of Yuanfeng, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Yuqing was part of Sheep County, Shepherd County in the Tang Dynasty, Yuqing Prefecture in the Yuan Dynasty, and Yuqing County in the Ming Dynasty. It has eight provincial-level non-legacy projects, such as the dwarf dance and the Qianbei hustle song; Yuqing is the core production area of small-leaf bittersweet tea, with a total of more than 200,000 acres of tea gardens, and 80,000 people are rich from tea, and has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Counties of China's Tea Industry" for three consecutive years; in December 2019, it became the pilot unit of the national construction of the countryside governance system. Yuqing County mainly has attractions such as Feilongzhai National 4A Scenic Spot, provincial-level Dawu River Scenic Spot, and the Red Army's strong crossing of the Wujiang River Hui Longduo Battle Site. In 2023, Yuqing County completed a gross regional product of 10.122 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8% over the same period of the previous year.
