Wudang District is subordinate to Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, located in the central part of Guizhou Province, in the northeastern part of Guiyang City District. It borders Longli County to the east, Yunyan and Nanming Districts to the south, Baiyun District to the west, and Kaiyang and Xiowen Counties to the north, with a total administrative area of 686 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of November 1, 2020 zero hour, Wudang District resident population of 336,363 people.
Wudang District is one of the urban clusters of Guiyang City and is one of the first economically powerful districts (counties) in Guizhou Province. As of 2020, Wudang District has five streets, six towns and two ethnic townships under its jurisdiction. There are tourist attractions such as Guiyang Royal Hot Spring, Poly International Hot Spring, Quan Tianxia International Club, Xiangpigou and Xiangsi River.
In 2019, Wudang District realized a GDP of 16.217 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.In 2022, Wudang District's GDP was 19.590 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%.
On April 20, 2022, the city brand image of "Sharp Guiyang Vibrant Wudang" was officially released.
In 2023, the GDP of Wudang District will be 20.405 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 6.6%.
