Liucheng County, belonging to Liuzhou City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the north-central part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, between 108°36' and 109°50' east longitude and 24°26' and 24°25' north latitude. The county has a maximum horizontal distance of 79 kilometers from east to west and a maximum vertical distance of 47 kilometers from north to south. The total area covers 2114.37 square kilometers. Liucheng County has a long history and was founded in the third year of Datong of Liang Dynasty (537) in the Southern Dynasty, originally known as Longcheng County, and was renamed Liucheng County in the third year of Jingde of Song Dynasty (1006).
