Yanshan District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, east and Qixing District, Lingchuan County, adjacent to the border with the west and Lingui District, Huixian Town, south and Yangshuo County grape town, Yangdian Township, south-west and Lingui District, adjacent to the town of Six Ponds, the north with the Elephant Mountain District, Qixing District, the northwest border with the Elephant Mountain District; a total area of 302.05 square kilometers. During the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, Yanshan District was the residence of "Baiyue" people. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, it belonged to the State of Chu, and in December 1996, with the approval of the State Council, Guilin City adjusted the zoning of its municipal districts, and the suburb of Guilin City was renamed Yanshan District. The Li River weaves and meanders in the area, the Guilin-Yangshuo tourism channel passes through the area, and the Guilin-Liu and Gui Wu highways intersect in the area.
