Qixing District, also known as Guilin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, a municipal district of Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located on the east bank of the Lijiang River in downtown Guilin, and is under the jurisdiction of four streets and one township and one Overseas Chinese Tourism and Economic Zone, with an area of 83 square kilometers, and the district government is stationed at the High-tech Development Building, No. 26, Beyond the Horsemen's Bird's Nest Road, Lidong Street, Qixing District, Guilin City. According to the seventh census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Qixing District was 387,304 people.
From the third year of Gaozu to the fifth year of Yuanding in the Western Han Dynasty (204-112 BC), the district was part of the Guilin County Land of South Vietnam.In June 1997, Guilin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone merged with Qixing District, calling it Guilin National High-tech Zone Qixing District. The district is crossed by Guilin Bypass Highway, 28 km from Guilin Liangjiang International Airport and 2 km from Guilin North Railway Station (High Speed Railway Station).
In 2018, Qixing District completed a gross regional product of 19.338 billion yuan, with a comparable price (compared with the previous year, the same below) growth of 8.1%, per capita disposable income of urban residents of 37,046 yuan, an increase of 6.5%, and per capita disposable income of farmers of 17,701 yuan, an increase of 8.4%.In 2019, the gross regional product of Qixing District will increase by 5.5% compared with that of 2018.
