Jiangzhou District, belongs to Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the seat of Chongzuo Municipal Party Committee and Municipal People's Government. It is located in the southwest of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, south of the Tropic of Cancer, and in the middle reaches of the Zuo River. It is connected to Fusui County in the east, Ningming County in the south, Longzhou County in the west, Daxin County in the northwest, and Long'an County in the north, with a total area of 2,917.83 square kilometers.In 2020, Jiangzhou District had a total household population of 381,300 people, and a resident population of 436,000 people. As of October 2021, Jiangzhou District has 3 streets, 6 towns and 2 townships under its jurisdiction. The district government is located at No.16 Xinmin Road.
Jiangzhou District, has a history of more than 2,200 years. In Song Dynasty, Chongshan County was set up, and later Jiangzhou Tushu County was set up.In 2002, Nanning District was abolished, and prefecture-level Chongzuo City was set up. Chongzuo County was abolished and Jiangzhou District was established. With a warm climate and abundant rainfall, the area is rich in sugarcane, rice, corn, cassava and other crops. It is a standard county for the construction of a water-saving society and a pilot county for the development of rooftop distributed photovoltaic.
