Xilin County, belonging to Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China, is located in the westernmost part of Guangxi, at the combination of Gui, Yunnan and Qian provinces (regions), connected to Tianlin County in the east, Lunglin各族自治县 in the north, Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, Guizhou Province, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, west of Luoping County, Shizong County, Yunnan Province, southwest of Chubei County, Yunnan Province, south of Guangzhou-Nan County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and southwest of Funing County of Wenshan Prefecture in Yunnan Province.
Xilin County covers an area of 3,020 square kilometers, accounting for 1.28% of the total area of Guangxi, with a per capita land area of 37 acres and a total cultivated land area of 247,900 acres, with a per capita cultivated land area of 1.97 acres. The county has 4 towns and 4 townships (3 are ethnic townships), totaling 94 villages and 3 communities. According to the seventh census data, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Xilin County was 142,098 people.
In 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Xilin County will complete 3.435 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1% year-on-year, completing 97.57% of the annual task of 3.521 billion yuan; the ratio of the structure of the three industries will be 44.50:13.15:42.35.
Xilin County is rich in tourism resources, there are Wanfeng Lake, Pack Niang River, Gongbao House and other tourist attractions, not far from the Dammei paradise in Guangnan County, Qubei County Puzhehei, Xingyi City, Maling River, Fort Jilong and other famous scenic spots.
Xilin County is also known as the hometown of Chinese tangerines, sweet and tasty tangerines, exported to the north, Guangzhou and other places. In addition, Xilin's hemp duck and ginger crystal are also well-known local specialties.
In March 2019, it was selected into the list of the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization piece of the county;
On April 24, 2019, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved and agreed to lift Xilin County out of poverty.
