Tianyang District, belonging to Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Guangxi, in the middle of the Right River Valley, with a total area of 2,394 square kilometers. As of November 2020, Tianyang District has a resident population of 308,785 people. As of October 2022, Tianyang District has nine towns and one township under its jurisdiction, and the district government is located at 42-1 Jiefangzhong Road in Tianzhou Town.
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, began to set up Zengshi County (present-day territory of Tianyang District), which was initially under the state of South Vietnam.In 2019, Tianyang County was abolished and Tianyang District was established.
Tianyang District is a county of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area, a comprehensive demonstration county of e-commerce into rural areas, a national model greening unit, an advantageous area of Chinese characteristic agricultural products, and a national advanced unit of quality family planning services.In 2019, the People's Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved the withdrawal of Tianyang County from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties.
In 2022, the gross regional product of Tianyang District will be 15.9 billion yuan, down 19%. Among them, the primary industry will grow by 7%, the secondary industry will decline by 39%, and the tertiary industry will grow by 1%.
