Maiji District, belongs to Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is located in the eastern part of Tianshui city. In the early Qing Dynasty, Maiji was established as a county, following the Ming system.In 1985, with the withdrawal of Tianshui to establish a city, the former Tianshui County was changed to Beidao District, and on September 30, 2004, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved the change of name to Maiji District.On September 25, 2018, Maiji District was awarded the honorary title of "2018 Comprehensive Demonstration County of E-commerce into Rural Areas" by the Ministry of Commerce.
