Yun'an District, belonging to Yunfu City, Guangdong Province, is located in the central and western part of Guangdong Province, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Xijiang River, connected with Yuncheng District in the east, bordering with Xinxing County and Yangchun City in the south, adjoining with Luoding City and Yunan County in the west, and bordering on the Xijiang River in the north, across the river from Deqing, the district has a total area of 1,184.73 square kilometers, with seven towns under its jurisdiction, and the district people's government is stationed in Liudu Town. According to the seventh census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, Yunan District resident population of 235,390 people.
In January 1996, Yun'an County was established; in September 2014, Yun'an County was abolished and Yunfu Yun'an District was established with the consent of the State Council. The topography of Yunan District is high in the east, south and west, and low in the north, dominated by hills and low mountains; it is located south of the Tropic of Cancer, with low latitude and close to the ocean, and has a subtropical humid monsoon climate, with abundant rainfall, high year-round temperatures, and green flowers and trees in all seasons.
In 2020, the gross regional product of Yunan District will exceed 10 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 5.8%.
